The thing to remember always is that it is not life and the things that life throws at us which make us suffer, and make us feel unhappy and discontented with our lot, but rather our interpretation of what is happening around us, and even how we allow our imagination to decipher what is going on.
This contrasts to the idea of β€˜The Law of Attraction’ and a belief we can in some way manifest, or influence outcome; when not achieving our goals we then fall into frustration and depression. True happiness can be found in stoicism and being grateful for what we have, and learning to let go of outcome.
